Medical Instrument Prototypes
Design
PlexiCraft's founder and President, Jim Rogers, brings with him 35
years of experience in the design of medical instruments. Prior
to founding PlexiCraft and JIM, he worked in the University of
Iowa Medical Instrument Shop. Since then he has been involved in
the
design
and manufacture
of everything from apparatus for research laboratories, to instruments
for eye surgery, to biopsy needle guides. Throughout this
time he has amassed an extensive knowledge of medical instrument
design as well as industrial products.
Manufacturing
PlexiCraft recognizes that the fabrication of plastics to high
tolerances requires precision machinery. CNC lathes, drills,
and machining
centers provide the perfect tools to bring any idea to reality.
All machines are equipped and calibrated to handle the unique and
special
properties of acrylics. Additionally, the CNC features insure
that products can be manufactured in a highly efficient manner
with the same degree of quality time and time again. |
